Mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) in Maui, HI

Mild HBOT is the use of a pressurized chamber to increase delivery of oxygen to cells. It involves lying in a pressured chamber at 1.3 ATA (equivalent of 10 feet below sea level) while breathing 100% medical grade oxygen (ambient air is 21% oxygen). The pressure from the chamber drives oxygen into the plasma of the blood, not just the red blood cells. By loading the blood plasma with oxygen, oxygen can travel everywhere in the body, including areas that have been cut off from red blood cell supply due to injury, disease, age or structure of the tissue.
